The biggest endoscopy theatres at the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the General University Hospital in Prague and the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, also known as "U Apolináře", took over another set of top single-use endoscopic instruments from the Apolena Foundation. These instruments will be used during surgeries of seriously ill women. During first four months of its existence The Apolena Foundation has in total donated ten multifunctional endoscopic terminals in the sum of 150 000 CZK.
The G5 Endoscopy Unit at the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the General University Hospital in Prague runs courses on "The Use of Modern Technology in Laparoscopy". For this occasion the OLYMPUS company lends the G5 a state-of-the art 3D videolaparoscope and Thunderbeat instruments (combining a harmonic scalpel and bipolar coagulation in one end piece). The course is focused on the use of this technology in more demanding laparoscopic surgery
